SERIES 04 IN-LINE CENTRIFUGAL FAN SK-880-04 NOVEMBER, 1997

The Belt Drive In-Line Centrifugal Fan shall be manufactured by Hartzell Fan, Inc.®, Series 04. Standard sizes are 12" through 49", ARRG. 1 and 9, Class I, II, or III construction. Wheel type shall be the type BC single thickness airfoil blade (available in sizes 12" through 49") or the type BA double thickness hollow airfoil blade (available in sizes 18" through 49"). The Series 04 fans shall have non-overloading horsepower characteristics. The fan shall be packaged, completely assembled and ready to install.

The fan housing shall be a heavy gauge commercial quality carbon steel suitable for temperatures up to 180° F. The housing and the wheels shall be continuously welded in compliance with AWS D1.1 standard. The wheels shall be commercial quality carbon steel. The wheel shall be mounted to the shaft with a split taper bushing. The motor shall be mounted on a continuously welded motor base supported by four adjustable riser assemblies. Standard surface coating system shall be phosphatized surface preparation with an industrial grade air dry enamel paint.

The shaft shall be ground and polished. The fan bearings shall be heavy-duty, self aligning ball or roller type (depending on the fan size, motor horsepower and performance) and relubricatable for continuous service. They shall have a minimum L10 life of 50,000 hours. The belts shall be oil, heat and static resistant type oversized for continuous duty.

The fan assembly shall be dynamically balanced at the Hartzell factory prior to shipping. Fans shall be balanced in accordance with AMCA Standard 204-96, fan application category BV-3 (comparable to Grade G6.3). Fans shall be manufactured in accordance with Hartzell's standard quality assurance procedures. The fan performance shall be based on tests conducted in Hartzell's AMCA accredited laboratory and conducted in accordance with AMCA Standard 210 for air performance and AMCA Standard 300 for sound.
