SERIES 61H H-DUTY DIRECT DRIVE UPBLAST ROOF VENTILATOR, STEEL SK-880-61-H FEBRUARY, 2002
The Direct Drive Upblast Roof Ventilator, Steel, shall be manufactured by Hartzell Fan, Inc., Series 61. Standard sizes are 12" through 72". The ventilator shall be packaged, completely assembled and ready to install.
The Direct Drive Upblast Roof Ventilator fan propeller shall be an airfoil design, cast of 319 aluminum in compliance with Federal Specification QQ-A-601E and ASTM B26. Propellers shall be retained on the motor shaft utilizing a split taper bushing or clamp block arrangement.
Solid rolled rod motor mounts shall provide support for the motor. Motors shall be totally enclosed air over type. All fractional motors shall be permanently lubricated, non-regreasable. Integral horsepower motors shall be supplied with regreasable bearings. Removable windband for ease of maintenance of motor and drive assembly is standard through 60Ó size.
The propeller shall be mounted in a high efficiency air seal fan orifice with the smaller diameter of the ring overlapping the propeller tips.
Standard construction through 60" size shall be a painted galvannealed steel orifice panel, size 66" and larger shall be painted hot rolled steel flat panel. Motor mount shall be a welded, painted solid steel rod assembly for rugged construction.
The stack cap shall be rolled, welded construction, of minimum 20 gauge painted galvanneal coated steel in sizes 12" through 60", and painted 10 gauge coated steel, sizes 66" and larger. A rolled angle ring welded at the top of the windband shall be included on sizes 66" and larger, to provide additional support. Stack cap lids shall be constructed of galvanized for all sizes as standard. Butterfly lids shall open automatically when the unit is on, close weather-tight when the unit is off. The discharge airstream shall prevent entry of rain or snow during operation.
The fan assembly shall be dynamically balanced at the Hartzell factory prior to shipping. Fans shall be balanced in accordance with AMCA Standard 204, fan application category BV-3 (comparable to Grade G6.3). Fans shall be manufactured in accordance with Hartzell's standard quality assurance procedures. Fan performance shall be based on tests conducted in Hartzell's AMCA accredited test laboratory in accordance with the latest revision of AMCA Standard 210 for air performance and AMCA Standard 300 for sound performance.
