SERIES FLC FIBERGLASS LOW VELOCITY CENTER - PIVOTED DAMPER - FLANGE MOUNT NOVEMBER, 1997

The Fiberglass Low Velocity Center-Pivoted Damper, Flange Mount shall be manufactured by Hartzell Fan, Inc. Standard sizes are, minimum 12" wide x 12" high, maximum single panel is 48" wide x 48" high, larger sizes are fabricated in multiple panels with reinforcement.

These dampers are constructed of pultruded fiberglass reinforced polyester components. The resin has a Class I flame spread rate of 25 or less. The resin has Tinuvin added to protect all surfaces from ultra violet exposure.

All components are bonded together with an industrial grade, epoxy adhesive, having similar corrosion resistant properties as the fiberglass resin.

The axles are 3/4" diameter fiberglass reinforced polyester rod that rotate in fiber reinforced thermoplastic bearings.

The maximum face velocity for these dampers is 2500 FPM at 1" W.G. maximum differential pressure.

Damper performance shall be based on tests conducted in Hartzell's AMCA accredited test laboratory, in accordance with AMCA Test Code 500, Test Methods for Louvers, Dampers, and Shutters.
